Privacy & safety — a guide for parents

SoccerTools is built for young players. That means we take what we collect, who can see it, and how long we keep it seriously. Here's the plain-English version.

What we collect

  • Account basics: email, username, age band, and (optionally) home club.
  • Training activity: drills completed, time on timer, reps, badges, leaderboard standing.
  • Video clips the player uploads to the AI Video Analyzer.
  • Notes the player writes in MyWork.

We do not sell personal data, and we don't run third-party ad trackers.

Who can see your child's videos

By default, only your child can see clips they upload. A clip becomes visible to someone else only when the player explicitly shares it:

  • Share with coach sends a clip to one coach the player has connected with.
  • Nothing is public unless the player chooses to post it themselves (and we don't have a public feed today).

Parental consent & age

  • Players under the platform's minimum age need a parent or guardian to accept the video release before any clip can be uploaded.
  • The release is plain English, on one screen, and can be revoked at any time from Account & Settings.

Coaches and clubs

  • A coach can only see clips the player chose to share with them.
  • Setting a home club just helps with grouping — it does not grant club staff access to your child's content.
  • Coaches on the platform are approved by an admin before they can receive shared clips.

Deleting data

  • Delete a single clip: open the entry in MyWork → ⋯ → Delete.
  • Delete the account: Account & Settings → Delete account. This removes the profile, videos, notes, and stats within 30 days.
  • For a manual request, use the Contact page and we'll handle it personally.

Reporting something

If you ever see content, a username, or a message that worries you, tell us via the Contact page. We respond to safety reports first.
