How to read a drill card

A quick tour of every section on a drill card — what it means and how to use it.

How to read a drill card

Every drill in SoccerTools uses the same card layout, so once you know the four sections you can pick up any drill and get to work.

The four sections

  1. Header (badges + meta row) — recommended time, number of players, equipment, plus the skill, level and age group the drill is built for. Scan this first to decide if it fits your session.
  2. Demo + steps — the Goal tells you what you're trying to learn, then Setup and Drill Instructions walk you through how to run it.
  3. Coaching tips — the small cues a coach would whisper in your ear, plus the common mistakes to avoid.
  4. Tracking + complete — the timer, your self-assessment, your drill rating, and the Complete Drill button. Your AI Coach reads these answers to give you feedback after every rep.

Open the interactive guide

Open any drill card and tap the Card guide button in the bottom-right corner — it walks you through the four sections live on the page. The tour also runs automatically the first time you open a drill.

Tip: you can re-launch the guide from any drill, any time.
