Badges & Leaderboard — how to climb

How badges get awarded, how the leaderboard ranks players, and the habits that move you up fastest.

Badges & Leaderboard

SoccerTools turns your training into a scoreboard. Two systems track your work: badges (milestones you unlock) and the leaderboard (where you stand against other players).

How badges work

  • Badges are awarded automatically when you hit a milestone — finish your 10th drill, train 5 days in a row, try 20 unique drills, etc.
  • The badge engine runs after every drill you complete and again when you log in, so you'll see new ones pop up without having to refresh.
  • See everything you've earned (and what's still locked) at /player/badges.

What the leaderboard ranks

The leaderboard at /leaderboard is public and ranks players four different ways:

RankingWhat it measures
RepsTotal reps logged across all drills
Unique drillsHow many different drills you've tried
Time trainedTotal minutes on the timer
LoginsDays you opened the app and did something

No single ranking is "the" leaderboard — they reward different habits.

How to climb

  1. Show up daily. Logins and streaks compound fast. 10 minutes a day beats 70 minutes once a week.
  2. Try new drills. The unique-drills board rewards range, not repetition.
  3. Finish the timer. Reps and time only count once you tap Done.
  4. Use Weekly Plans. A plan keeps you on the ladder without having to think about it.

Fair-play notes

  • Only one account per player. Duplicate accounts get merged or removed.
  • Usernames are family-friendly. The system blocks obvious ones and admins can rename anything that slips through.
  • If something on the leaderboard looks wrong, tell us via the Contact page — we read every message.
