A short spoken walk-through of this drill.
Goal
Complete as many clean, accurate passes as possible in 60 seconds with fluid lateral movement.
Setup
Place two cones 3 yards apart. Player A stands behind the cones (the Worker). Player B stands 5 yards away facing them with the ball (the Server).
Drill Instructions
1. Player B passes to Player A in the middle of the cones; Player A returns the pass. 2. Player A shuffles outside the left cone, receives a pass, and returns it. 3. Player A shuffles back through the middle to the outside of the right cone, receives a pass, and returns it. 4. Continue the pattern: Middle, Left, Middle, Right. Can be done with 1 touch or 2 touches.
Coach Tip
Keep your weight on the balls of your feet so you can change direction quickly between the cones.
Avoid
Standing flat-footed or letting the ball stop completely before passing it back.
