Goal
Score a goal while maintaining a continuous flow between the skill move and the shot.
Setup
Place a cone 5 yards outside the penalty box to represent a defender. Player starts with a ball 10 yards further back.
Drill Instructions
1. Dribble toward the cone at pace. 2. Perform a skill move (e.g., scissor, step-over) just before reaching the cone. 3. Take a positive diagonal exit touch to clear the 'defender.' 4. Shoot on goal immediately with the very next touch.
Coach Tip
Keep your eyes up to find the corner of the goal as you execute your exit touch.
Avoid
Taking extra 'settling' touches after your move; the move and the shot should happen in a 1-2 rhythm.
