A short spoken walk-through of this drill.

Goal
Perform the move fluidly in one motion without losing balance or needing extra touches.
Setup
Start in a small 3x3 yard space. Place two cones in front of you in a 'V' shape if you need visual targets.
Drill Instructions
1. Push the ball slightly forward with your laces. 2. Place the sole of your foot on top of the ball to stop it. 3. Pull the ball back toward your standing leg. 4. Use the same foot to push the ball out diagonally in the opposite direction, creating a 'V' shape.
Coach Tip
Keep your knees bent and stay on your toes to make the exit touch explosive.
Avoid
Avoid letting the ball get too far under your body, which makes the diagonal push difficult.
