A short spoken walk-through of this drill.
Goal
Complete the full shuttle course in under 30 seconds with zero touches hitting the cones.
Setup
Place 5 cones in a straight line, 3 yards apart. Start at the first cone with the ball.
Drill Instructions
1) Sprint-dribble to the second cone using only small touches. 2) Perform a quick turn or pull-back at the cone and return to the start. 3) Immediately repeat the process for all subsequent cones, increasing the distance each time. 4) Rest for 30 seconds between sets.
Coach Tip
Think of it like a 'yo-yo'; keep the ball close enough that you can change direction at any split second.
Avoid
Avoid taking heavy touches that force you to chase the ball or looking down at your feet the entire time.
