A short spoken walk-through of this drill.

Goal
Execute a clean turn and an explosive lateral burst to receive the return pass in stride.
Setup
Create a 4-yard starting gate. Place two 'sprint line' cones 10 yards away. Players line up at the gate in pairs.
Drill Instructions
1. Dribble at top speed from the gate to the sprint line. 2. Perform a sharp turn and pass the ball back to the next player in line. 3. Immediately explode 3-5 yards wide to create a passing angle. 4. Receive a return wall-pass and dribble back to the start.
Coach Tip
Call out 'Change of Pace!' The moment you release the pass, your first three steps should be your fastest.
Avoid
Standing flat-footed after the pass or drifting wide too slowly.
