A short spoken walk-through of this drill.

Goal
Successfully navigate through a gate while maintaining ball possession against the defender.
Setup
Place two 2-yard gates on the corner lines (one on the goal line, one on the sideline) 5 yards from the corner. Defender B starts 10 yards away; Attacker A starts at the corner point.
Drill Instructions
1. Player B passes the ball to Player A and immediately sprints to close them down. 2. Player A receives the ball and must use dribbling skills, fakes, or shielding to beat the defender. 3. Player A scores by dribbling through either of the two gates under control.
Coach Tip
Use your first touch to set up your escape; don't just wait for the defender to arrive.
Avoid
Avoid turning your back to the defender without a plan; keep the ball on the foot furthest from the pressure.
