A short spoken walk-through of this drill.

Goal
Successfully transition the ball from one grid to the other without the central defenders intercepting the pass.
Setup
Create two 10x15 yard grids side by side. Divide players into three teams of four (Teams A, B, and C).
Drill Instructions
1. Team A starts with the ball in Grid 1; Team B stays in Grid 2. 2. Two defenders from Team C enter Grid 1 to press (4v2), while the other two Team C defenders stay in the middle gap. 3. Team A must complete 10 passes before attempting to play a through ball to Team B in Grid 2. 4. If defenders win the ball, the play resets with a new ball in the opposite grid. 5. Rotate the defending team every 5 minutes.
Coach Tip
Keep your hips open to the whole field so you can see the pressure and the target grid simultaneously.
Avoid
Standing still after passing; always adjust your angle to support the ball carrier and prepare for the long switch.
