A short spoken walk-through of this drill.

Goal
Create clear passing lanes with width and depth, then switch toward the less-defended mini goal. On every turnover or new-ball call, react immediately to support the attack or protect the goal.
Setup
Use half a field with a full-size goal on the end line and two mini goals spread wide along halfway, facing into the field. Place nine players, including a goalkeeper, against seven outfield opponents; the nine defend the big goal and the seven defend the mini goals. Keep spare balls with the coach on the touchline; adjust numbers as needed while keeping at least a two-player advantage for the build-out team.
Drill Instructions
1. Start with the goalkeeper; the nine build out, keep possession and switch play to score in either mini goal. 2. The seven press, win possession and attack the full-size goal; both teams react immediately to turnovers. 3. At any time, the coach calls 'New ball!' and serves a replacement ball; the previous ball is dead and everyone adjusts to the new one.
Coach Tip
As the ball travels, scan and move so the ball carrier has options beside, ahead and behind.
Avoid
Avoid everyone chasing the new ball and leaving central space unprotected.
Adjust on the fly
Make it easier
Use 9v6 to give the build-out team more time and clearer passing options.
Make it harder
Limit the build-out team's outfield players to two touches.
