A short spoken walk-through of this drill.

Goal
Win a points-based tournament (first to 5). Score points if your partner fails to clear their gate with one touch or misses your gate on the return pass.
Setup
Create two gates using two cones each, spaced 5-8 yards apart. Partners stand behind their respective gates facing each other.
Drill Instructions
1. Player A passes firmly through the opponent's gate. 2. Player B must use their first touch to move the ball outside of their gate cones. 3. Player B then passes back through the middle of Player A's gate. 4. Focus on specific touches: outside foot push, inside foot lace, or sole roll.
Coach Tip
Open your hips before the ball arrives. Point your standing foot toward the space you want to move the ball into.
Avoid
Avoid a 'dead' touch that stops the ball directly between your feet, as this requires a second touch just to set up the pass.
