A short spoken walk-through of this drill.

Goal
Complete 4 rounds of 3 minutes. The team with the most successful end-to-end transfers wins.
Setup
Create a 20x35 yard grid and split it in half to create two 20X17 yard grids with 1 yard in between them. Place one target player on each end line of each grid (4 total). Split the remaining players into two teams (e.g., 3v3 or 4v4) inside the grid. Add a neutral if uneven numbers.
Drill Instructions
1. The coach plays the ball into one team. 2. That team must keep possession and move the ball from one target player to the other to score a point. 3. Target players are limited to two touches and must stay on their line but can move horizontally. 4. If the defending team wins the ball, they immediately try to switch the play to the opposite target.
Coach Tip
Keep your hips open to the field so you can see both targets at once. Receive on back foot and half turn. Movement into open spaces to provide options.
Avoid
Standing still after passing; players must move to support the next pass immediately.
