A short spoken walk-through of this drill.

Goal
Players should complete 10 clean rotations with high intensity and accurate one- or two-touch passing.
Setup
Set up a diamond of cones roughly 15-20 yards long. Player A starts at the bottom cone; Player B starts at the top cone.
Drill Instructions
1. Player A plays a long firm pass to Player B at the top. 2. Player A immediately sprints to the center of the diamond to receive a drop-pass. 3. Player A takes two touches to return the ball to Player B. 4. Player A 'opens up' by sprinting around a side cone and back to the start. 5. Player B passes to meet Player A at the starting cone. 6. Repeat 10 times and swap roles.
Coach Tip
Check your shoulder as you enter the center of the diamond to simulate scanning for defenders.
Avoid
Avoid a lazy recovery run; the 'opening up' movement needs to be a sharp sprint to create a passing lane.
