A short spoken walk-through of this drill.

Goal
Score a goal using a one-touch finish from a wide cross after a successful 3-pass combination.
Setup
Place 4 cones in a 10x8 rectangle 5 yards outside the penalty box. Place 2 cones on each wing. Station players at each cone.
Drill Instructions
1. Start with a diagonal pass between one of the back players to their opposite forward corner player in the rectangle. 2. The receiver plays a drop pass to the other back player. 3. The partner switches the ball to the farthest wide player on the wing. 4. As the wing player receives, the two players at the top of the rectangle sprint into the box (one near post, one far). 5. The winger takes one positive touch before crossing into the box for a one-time finish.
Coach Tip
Time your runs! Don't enter the box too early; wait for the winger to be ready to cross so you can attack the ball at speed.
Avoid
Standing still after the layoff pass; every player must move to their next phase immediately.
